OUR CULTURE

I joined the finance industry in 2008 while waiting for my enrolment into the National University of Singapore (NUS) after completing my National Service (NS).

 

At the start of my Uni days, I knew that I wanted to do real work that would help me become financially independent so that I have the ability to pay off my student loans. As such, my search for the work that I could do brought me to the financial sector where I got to carry through client planning under the guidance of my mentors. Thinking back, it was a well-timed opportunity for me as it allowed me to explore and experiment with my future career paths in this industry. 

 

Within 2 years of my graduation, I got promoted to Financial Services Supervisor and strike off many items from my bucket list. I was thrilled, but something still felt missing. Don't get me wrong, being able to do client planning and change people's lives is amazing, but I wanted to do more than just client planning; I wanted to build a team that could do this together and achieve great things together, which is why I founded RG Partners. 

 

With Rainmakers Guild, my goal is to help undergraduates achieve their personal financial goals just like how I achieved mine back then. I hope that with my guidance and strong team support, they will be able to achieve more than I ever did and pass on what they've learned. That’s why at RG Partners, I always emphasize the importance of staying united and being generous with knowledge sharing.
